Located on the main stem of the Umpqua River, the Tyee Recreation Site is open year-round for camping and fishing. In summer, picnicking and group activities are ideal under the sturdy pavilion for up to 50 people. Eagle Scout projects have improved the sites with walking trails, access to the river, horseshoe pits and benches. Access to the Umpqua River provides water play and fishing opportunities. Boat launching is available a few miles upriver and downstream from the Tyee Recreation Site. This is one of BLM's year-round campgrounds.
